Scott Derrick has over 25 years experience in retail sales, sales management, merchandising, and visual display. For the past ten years, he has been a professional sales and management training consultant for both large and small retail home furnishings and design-oriented stores. Scott has been popular with workshop participants who praise the quality of his training as well as the motivation they receive through his sessions. Scott believes that one of the most important components of working with adults is the ability to explain the psychology of a concept rather than simply how to do something. Scott has authored various training materials to enhance the learning process for retail sales consultants and their coaches. His sessions also help participants improve their communication skills and enhance their confidence in their work.

Scott's professional background includes seventeen years retail home furnishings experience with Ethan Allen, Robb & Stucky, Thomasville Furniture Industries, and The Shepherd Management Group. Scott Derrick is a Program Coach for Blue Leaf Consulting where he dedicates his time and energy to planning business success.

Scott is a graphic illustrator and web designer. He uses his visual illustration skills to enhance all aspects of the training and store planning process.

Scott assists independent retail stores to develop a Total Success Plan that establishes their store as the brand of choice in their market.
